Check out the diablo 3 emulator mooege. It was a pain to get installed but eventually I got it to work. You can spawn monsters check out the different skill points and travel through the first act. There are better versions out there, some of the monsters will actually attack back and some have NPCS that work.

Like I said it is complicated to do but it works like a charm once you get it going. You do have to find the diablo 3 beta launcher, I think you can get that from battlenet or online.
